Scott Waste to delay recycling pick up to February

UPDATE: January 22, 2024 -- Scott Waste will not have recycling pick up for January. Recycling pickup will resume in February. 

UPDATE: Scott Waste Services has suspended Franklin routes on Thursday, Jan. 18 due to refreezing streets. For more information, visit their Facebook page for updates. 

Scott Waste Services has determined after evaluating residential routes that garbage collection will be suspended on Wednesday, Jan. 17 and resume on Thursday, Jan. 18 as conditions approve. Many of the main roads are passable but the neighborhoods are still too icy to safely traverse in garbage trucks currently, and Scott Waste Services would like to avoid adding additional hazards to the roadways. The plan is to collect all garbage and material set in carts or bagged at the curbside next Monday through Wednesday (Jan. 22 through Jan. 24) for residents with Monday through Wednesday service to catch up on pickup dates. Scott Waste Services communicates with residents through its Facebook Page, Wasteconnect app alerts, and the phone messaging call center, which is open as normal and available to answer my residents' calls.
