METER READER/DISTRIBUTION TECHNICIAN
The City of Franklin, Kentucky is accepting applications for a Water Distribution Meter Reader/Distribution Technician. Responsible to the Distribution Superintendent for the operation and maintenance of the water distribution system. Job duties include, but are not limited to, performing routine daily maintenance throughout the Distribution System, such as installing and repairing water meters, ERT’s, meter boxes, etc... Also, must be available for on-call duty.
Qualifications: Some computer experience preferred. Successful completion of high school curriculum or GED equivalent. Must possess valid driver’s license. Ability to successfully pass pre-employment physical including drug screening. Ability to obtain water distribution certification. Must be willing to obtain Class B CDL, attend training and take advantage of other educational opportunities.
