SERVICE/MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

 

 

The City of Franklin, Kentucky is accepting applications for a Water Distribution Service/Maintenance Technician.  Responsible to the Distribution Superintendent for the operation and maintenance the water distribution system.  Job duties include, but are not limited to, performing routine daily maintenance throughout the Distribution System, such as install and repair of water mains, fire hydrant maintenance and flushing, meter replacement, and leak repair.  Also, must be available for on-call duty.

Water Treatment Plant Operator

The City of Franklin, Kentucky is accepting applications for a Water Treatment Plant Operator.  Operator will answer directly to the Superintendent of the Water Treatment Plant.  Job duties include, but not limited to, performing quality performance tests and protocol, analysis sample collection, and preventative maintenance.  Qualifications:  Successful completion of high school curriculum or GED equivalent.  Must be able to acquire all four Kentucky Division of Water (DOW) Water Treatment Operator Certifications for the treatment of surface water within the State approved timeframe.
