WATER DISTRIBUTION SUPERINTENDENT FOR CITY OF FRANKLIN
The City of Franklin is accepting applications for the position of Water Distribution Superintendent for the Public Works Division. Job duties include: Plans, organizes, and directs the continuing maintenance, repair, and construction program for the water distribution department. Plans and directs the work of employees engaged in the maintenance, repair and construction of the distribution system. Advises and assists field supervisor as required. Oversees the ordering of supplies, materials and parts. Works closely, with the public and maintains a positive approach to citizen complaints and problems. Prepares and maintains required records and reports, prepares departmental budgets, and monitors departmental spending. Performs other related work as assigned by the City Manager or Public Works Director. Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited community college or technical school. Must have 5 years’ experience in water distribution operations and maintenance with at least a Class IID certification and at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a water system. Must possess valid Kentucky driver’s license, mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and sound judgment.
